We are thrilled to, once again, be joining the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of BC at their annual Indigenous Governance & HR Conference. And there is a lot planned this year!
First up, on September 6th, Jouta consultants, Nievelina and Sabine, will present the pre-conference workshop, Wise Indigenous Human Resources Practices & Ways. This program is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation of HR practices with an intentional Indigenous focus, incorporating Indigenous perspectives and values, while covering essential HR topics from workforce planning to performance management.
Then, on September 7th, Cori will present the 11th annual Band Administrator Recognition Award. The purpose of this honour is to recognize Band Administrators who have displayed excellence and quality in their work with Indigenous communities, and Jouta is proud to be this year’s sponsor.
Finally, on September 8th, Cori will facilitate Salary Surveys and Compensation, in which she’ll discuss compensation packages as a whole, the benefits of participating in the BC First Nation Salary Survey, and how to use the data collected from the survey to strengthen your own organization.
