Summer perks at work
We long for summer to arrive but, when it does, we’re often so busy at work that we’re unable to make the most of it, and sometimes we experience more of it through our office windows than outdoors in the sunshine.
Does you workplace embrace summer and offer flexibility?
According to a survey of Canadian workers, flexible schedules (44%) and leaving work on Fridays (37%) are the most coveted summer benefits.
However, only 23% of those surveyed say their company actually offers flexible schedules during the summer (20% of which offer short Fridays).
37% say their organization has activities such as a company picnic or potluck, and 35% relax their dress code during the summer months.
One fifth (20%) of organizations offer no summer benefits at all.
